(Cover) - EN Star Style - January Jones doesnt let fashion critics upset her because everyone can have their own opinion.

The 33-year-old American actress is best known for her portrayal of suburban housewife Betty Draper in hit US show Mad Men, where she dons prim and proper attire fitting in with the shows 1960s theme.

January shocked fashionistas at last months Golden Globe Awards, when she wore a bright red Versace gown with slits revealing her slender waist and ample dcolletage, as many considered the sexy look to be a massive departure from her demure persona.

Although many style insiders adored the outfit, some were less complimentary.

"Everyone can have their own opinion. I certainly do," said January, shrugging off the negativity.

One of the most outspoken critics was comedian Joan Rivers, 77, who is well known for critiquing celebrity attire on US show Fashion Police. Joan thought Januarys attire was a little too raunchy, which January didnt mind.

Joan Rivers thought it was sl**ty, she shrugged.

The blonde beauty often wears attire by Italian fashion house Versace, famed for seductive gowns which sculpt the female form. Although January was announced as a face of the brand last year, she insists she isnt contractually obliged to wear their creations.

"I think people assume I have a contract with them or something, and I don't," she told USA Today. (C) Cover Media
