(Cover) - EN Movies - Jason Bateman is in talks to star in upcoming movie We're the Millers.

The American television and film actor has established himself in Hollywood by appearing in several hit films including The Kingdom, Juno, Up in the Air, and the most recent comedy Horrible Bosses, alongside Jennifer Aniston.

The 42-year-old star is now in discussions to land the lead role in the Rawson Marshall Thurber-directed film We're the Millers.

The filmmaker has recently taken charge of the script, which has been in development for nearly a decade where it was originated by Wedding Crashes writers Steve Faber and Bob Fisher back in 2002.

A host of directors were previously lined up to tackle the script, including The Full Monty director Peter Cattaneo and Burr Steers.

Hot Tub Time Machine writers John Morris and Sean Anders have most recently been working on the script.

The story follows a drug dealer who is trying to make one last big deal, which sees him create a fake family to carry a huge shipment of illegal substances across the border between Mexico and America. (C) Cover Media
