The familiar music director of Malayalam and Kannada films, Jaasie Gift, copying the tunes of his earlier film for the Kannada film 'Sanju Weds Geetha', has recently come to light.

For last year's 'Vishu Festival' in Kerala 'China Town' music director Jaassie Gift's Malayalam film was released and two of the tunes from that film are common in his Kannada scoring of 'Sanju Weds Geetha'. The tunes of 'Gaganave Bagi….' and 'Ravana Seethen Kaddha…' are found in the Malayalam film.

Is this not plagiarism? According to another source, music director Jaassie Gift had composed almost similar tunes for director B Sanjay, for his Kannada film 'Hudugata' starring golden star Ganesh and Rekha. It was rejected and the same seems to be re-hashed and used.

Jaassif Gift, known for his rich musical scores was nicknamed 'Gifted' music director. Now, he is a 'Lifted' music director too.
