Sumanth Shailendra's debut!

Another youngster from a producer family has arrived. With proper training and accurate thinking is Sumanth Shailender, son of Shailendra Babu a financier and distributor who has 13 Kannada films to his credit.

Sumanth, after finishing his studies in Business Management, on the advice of his father, went to Mumbai. He took a crash course at the Kishore Namith Kapoor School of Acting. Back in Bangalore, he learnt martial arts and action training was given to him by Appu Venkatesh. He learnt dance and finally made a CD presentation of his ability to his father. Shailendra Babu immensely liked that approach and gave the go ahead to his son.

Sumanth's debut is 'Aata' with Vibha Naarajan as the heroine. Vijaykumar the successful director of three films – 'Gejje Nada', 'Kannadadha Kandha'and 'Nanda Loves Nandita'has worked on the story provided by director Shashank for over a year. According to Sumanth 'Aata'is an attempt to entertain the classes and the masses. “There will be a wonderful package of entertainment. I am very confident of delivering good work”, says Sumanth.
