Jay-Z has reportedly been working hard to "prove" to Beyonc Knowles that he's a good provider.

The superstar couple welcomed their first child, daughter Blue Ivy, into the world in January. Both are thrilled about becoming parents and it has reportedly made the rapper realise how important his family is to him.

The star has been working with new artist Rita Ora a lot lately, partly because he wants to continue to secure his daughter's future.

"He's madly in love with his wife and so happy about their beautiful daughter I think all this time he's spending working is actually to prove to Bey that he's a good provider now their family has extended," a source told Look magazine.

Beyonc reportedly understands her husband's excitement about Rita. However, she is believed to have told him he needs to split his time equally between work and home.

"Jay is very fond of her and is really excited about her music," the source added.
