(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jay-Z has asked British singer Adele to produce and write music with him.

The American rapper, who is in the UK to support wife Beyonc Knowles as she promotes her new album Four, had set up meetings with top UK musicians during his stay but Adele was on top of his list of potential collaborations.

The 23-year-old Rolling In The Deep singer has enjoyed success in the US with her latest album 21 and impressed Jay-Z with her beautiful voice.

"Jay has been making the most of his trip over here. It's not often he is overwhelmed by people when he meets them, but Adele was on top form as usual. She talked him under the table. He was chuckling all the way through their chat," a source told British newspaper The Sun. "He's keen to work with her, whether it's producing or writing together. She was a huge hit in the States and he believes they could make a massive record together.

Adele also gave the American super star a few music festival tips ahead of his weekend visit to Glastonbury.

Ever so humble, the London-born soul diva recommended the hip-hop star should see Scottish singer and songwriter Paolo Nutini.

"He told her he was going to Glastonbury and she gave him a guide of what to see. She said he must catch Paolo Nutini. She said he was the must-see act of the festival," the source added. (C) Cover Media
