(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jay-Z has no plans to enter into politics as hes pretty cynical about it.

The 40-year-old is one of the most successful stars in hip-hop, and his songs have been praised for their intelligent and often political lyrics.

Despite having some strong opinions about the state of society, Jay-Z doesnt think hell ever be involved in politics in the same way as celebrities such as movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger have done because he doesnt think its a trustworthy field.

"I'm not into politics myself. I'm pretty cynical when it comes to politics," he revealed.

The rapper was happy to speak out in defence of US President Barack Obama though, who has taken some criticism recently. Jay-Z is proud of his President, and feels hes made the best of a bad situation as America has been experiencing tough times recently.

"I think people who criticise him are not taking into account where the country was when he took office. It was like the worst economy ever, two world wars going on. We were in the worst state we have ever been. That job was going to be difficult for anybody," he empathised. (C) Cover Media
