(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon laughed and joked as they posed for pictures together at last night's Elle Annual Women in Hollywood gala.

The annual event is held by the fashion magazine to pay tribute to those who have redefined women's roles in movies. It was attended by a host of stars, with Jennifer and Reese clearly happy to see each other.

The two women worked together in sitcom Friends, where Reese portrayed Jennifer's character Rachel Green's younger sister. They seemed delighted to catch up and happily posed cuddling each other for photographers.

Jennifer chose to wear a silver mini-dress to the event in Beverly Hills. The frock boasted long sleeves and a plunging neckline and showed off the actress' tan to perfection.

Reese opted for a more demure look, choosing a navy blue suit with lace negligee top underneath.

Jennifer was one of the stars being honoured at the 18th annual event, and was accompanied by her boyfriend Justin Theroux. Michelle Pfeiffer was also recognised and opted to wear a black dress with statement shoulders and a glitzy gold clutch bag.

Other stars who were recognised included Viola Davis, Evan Rachel Wood, Naomi Watts and Freida Pinto, with Barbra Streisand receiving the L'Oral Paris Legend Award.

Nicole Richie also attended, opting for a one shoulder, floor-length patterned blue gown, while Katherine Heigl donned a knee-length black gown with silver embellishments and a cutaway panel across her chest. (C) Cover Media
