Jennifer Hudson is "more sure than ever" that she is ready to marry.
The American singer has been engaged to pro wrestler David Otunga for nearly four years and they have a two-year-old son together.
There have been rumours the pair are finally planning their wedding, with Jennifer apparently sure the time is right for her to walk down the aisle.
"She realised that he was her rock and that she wanted to spend her life with him and keep building their family together. She is more sure than ever now that she is ready to get married," a source told RadarOnline.com.
William Balfour was recently found guilty of killing Jennifer's mother, brother and nephew in 2008. Jennifer attended every day of the trial, which is said to be one of the reasons she had put her nuptials on hold.
The 30-year-old was apparently so worried by the court proceedings she began to question everything in her life.
"She was extremely stressed out and processing a lot of emotions about the murder of her family after the trial ended, and she just cracked," the insider said.
After questioning whether the terrible things she has endured were a sign she needed to take a different path, Jennifer realised she was thinking about things too much.
She is now thought to be planning her wedding again, with reports it will be staged in her hometown of Chicago.
