Jennifer Hudson: Slimming down changed my life

6th October 2010

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Jennifer Hudson says losing weight is a life changing process that has to be taken seriously.

The 29-year-old star has dropped five dress sizes recently, after joining WeightWatchers and hitting the gym five times a week.

The actress-and-singer is now a spokesperson for the slimming company and is a big believer in sticking to daily food intake allowances a technique championed by WeightWatchers.

I never thought Id get to this. I dont know how many weight loss attempts Ive had, its not a diet its a lifestyle, and I get to eat whatever I want its just about eating it in moderation and making sure I take it seriously and track what I eat, she told American website People.com. Its not something you do one time and let it go, its a life changing process you must exercise to maintain it and to stay that way.

The newly-slim celebrity is now an ambassador for WeightWatchers Lose For Good campaign, which asks members and citizens to fundraise to help eradicate world hunger.

Children are also being encouraged to get involved in the charitable project, which Jennifer, a mother-of-one, is especially excited about.

Im so passionate about the Lose for Good because one: its about the children, being with children is enough for me right there and I love to be a part of anything that involves kids and then being a part of WeightWatchers and knowing that they are doing something good, she said.

The actress added shedding weight has revolutionised her life. Jennifer explained she is still in a spin since losing the pounds, and is waiting for her head to "catch up".

I teamed up with WeightWatchers to lose the weight to prepare for a role and Im so glad that I did because its changed my life, she admitted. "Joining WeightWatchers completely like, Wow Im still trying to catch up to all the changes in myself to be honest. (C) Cover Media
