(Cover) - EN Star Style - Lara Stone is relieved she gave up drinking before alcoholism ruined too much of her life.

The 26-year-old model was treated for an addiction to alcohol last year. Despite her young age, she is glad she decided to get help when she did. Lara revealed her life was spiralling out of control before she checked into rehab, and now she is well she realises what a lucky escape she had.

I did lose a lot of weight by doing nothing. I think it must be something to do with not drinking. It took a while for everything to deflate. It has been nearly a year and a half now. I was only 25. And Im really glad I did it then rather than later, when you have a whole family and you can just ruin so much of your life, she told the British edition of Vogue. My life is so much better. My work, my relationships, my family, Before, I was really, really angry about things. Id be on the phone to my agent screaming and shouting and crying and... everything panicky.

Lara has had a good year, landing a triple contract with Calvin Klein as the face of the Collection, CK and Jeans labels. She also married her partner, British comedian David Walliams, and couldnt be happier.

The Dutch star still cant believe Calvin Klein chose to work with her, admitting it has totally changed her life. Well, the word supermodel makes me think of all the proper supermodels of the 90s, not about me. Theyre the only supermodels I feel so... unworthy, almost, of that name. But Calvin Klein has such an amazing history, and I think the pictures we did are so different from what I normally do, she explained.

Those contracts dont come around often. Its great it takes away the worry of, Am I going to get another job? Is someone going to hire me this season? It settles that. (C) Cover Media
