Josh Hutcherson got a leech stuck to his hand after a dare went wrong while shooting The Hunger Games.

The actor appears in the highly-anticipated new movie alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth. The group spent a lot of time bonding together off set, which led to some hair-raising events.

Jennifer has recalled feeling astounded when Liam admitted he had never heard of a crawdad also known as a crayfish, a tiny crustacean which looks like a little lobster.

"One day we went down to a creek to catch a crawdad, 'cause Liam didn't know what it was," she explained to People magazine. "I saw one and was like, 'Catch it!' Josh did and it got stuck to his hand. It was a leech! Then we went to Walmart and bought slingshots."

The Hunger Games is set in a world where children fight to the death on TV. Jennifer portrays Katniss Everdeen, who takes part in the battle in place of her sister.

Lenny Kravitz is Cinna, who is Katniss' stylist. Jennifer knew Lenny beforehand as she is friends with his daughter Zo and she enjoyed relaxing with him off set.

The actress, Josh and Liam often listened to Lenny playing music during the evenings.

"It was like some weird summer camp," she laughed.
