(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jerry OConnell was released from jury duty after his appearance in court left female fans swooning, it has been reported.
The Hollywood actor has had a hugely successful career, and is well known for playing an attorney in popular television series The Defenders. He was amazed when he was called to take part in a real-life court drama recently, although his time on the case was short lived.
The LA judge ruled that his presence was disrupting the courtroom female jurors kept swooning, whipping out cell phone cameras and passing him notes begging for autographs, reports National Enquirer.
Jerry put up a struggle and insisted he would be fine taking part, but in the end he had to graciously bow out. No one could concentrate as some of the women in the room were doing their best to impress him and the attorneys tired of trying to hold peoples attention.
In the end he graciously thanked everyone and exited amidst subdued female moans, the publication added.
Jerry had been studying to become a lawyer before he landed a role in Defenders, but has put the course on hold to appear in the show. (C) Cover Media
