(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Bruno Mars wishes he had a British accent because they have so much passion and soul.
The 25-year-old Hawaiian singer is adored across the globe for his dulcet tones, having shot to international fame with his debut studio album Doo-Wops & Hooligans last year.
Bruno enjoys visiting the British Isles, especially because hes enamoured with the traditional well-spoken accent.
I love the UK. I dig the accents, theres so much passion and soul, he confessed in an interview with BBC Radio One.
Bruno has been trying to master his own version of the well-to-do manner of speaking, but admits he usually ends up being teased for it. The heartthrob says he has more in common with 85-year-old American actor Dick Van Dyke who famously attempted a traditional cockney accent in the 1964 Disney film Mary Poppins.
I always get made fun of. I sound like Dick Van Dyke, he blushed.
Despite enjoying listening to the mutterings of British inhabitants, Bruno isnt such a fan of the quintessential English fried breakfast. The star prefers the morning treats on offer in his native Hawaii.
They have Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice...delicious, he drooled. (C) Cover Media
