Jessica Alba teaches her children about the importance of giving back.

The 31-year-old actress has two young daughters Honor, three, and 11-month-old Haven with producer husband Cash Warren.

Though the two girls may lead a privileged life, Jessica makes sure to explain to her tots that not everyone is so lucky.

"I talk to Honor about not wasting and recycling," Jessica told People magazine.

"I talk to her about having so many things and that there are children out there who don't have what she has."

Going green has always been important to Jessica, who established her eco-friendly business The Honest Company in January 2012.

At the moment, it is unclear whether Honor will take part in Jessica's enterprise, which sells toxin-free domestic products, in the future.

"Honor is just running her mouth about her observations on the world, and her desire to be a doctor mermaid," revealed Jessica.

Honor's baby sister Haven may still be a little too young to take in Jessica's lessons. Nevertheless, she's still reaching milestones of her own everyday.

"I think Haven will be walking soon and every day she is saying a new word right now it's hot," Jessica said.
