Anushka Sharma, who was gearing hard for her production venture 'Phillauri' has now released the first official trailer of the film. While she earlier produced 'NH10' which was an intense story, this one stands out to be more promising and funny.

Anushka Sharma shared the trailer on her Twitter handle and captioned it as, "Watch the love story of the spirit... Shashi! #PhillauriTrailer on YT http://bit.ly/PhillauriTrailer … @foxstarhindi @OfficialCSFilms."

The trailer starts with Suraj Sharma being born under an unfortunate star and has been declared as maanglik. The only way to come out is to marry a tree. As he gets married to a tree, what follows is the haunting by a ghost which is stuck on that tree claiming that he is married to her now. She follows him everywhere he goes. His wedding is just round the corner and preparations for the same are on full swing. Amidst all these thing he comes under intense pressure till someone asks Shashi-the friendly ghost that if she has any unfulfilled desires.

There starts the real story as it unfolds Shashi's life before becoming a ghost. Diljit Dosanjh plays her love interest and is seen in a simple avatar. An aspirant singer, Diljit is forced by Anushka to change the world with his powerful singing. He too vows her that he will only return when he establishes himself. Things go haywire when he returns and the intriguing trailer comes to an end.

Anushka steals the limelight from the other starcast as the friendly spirit and reminds us of cartoon character 'Casper.' Diljit's character looks promising and we cannot wait for the film to hit the theatres.

Directed by Anshai Lal and produced by Anushka Sharma with her brother Karnesh Sharma, the film will hit the theatres on March 24, 2017.
