Jessica Alba to release honest' book

20th March 2012

Jessica Alba is set to release her first book which she has called The Honest Life.

The 30-year-old mother of two says the handbook will help others to create a non-toxic life for their families and includes all of her favourite things.

The Hollywood actress told People magazine that she has picked up a lot of tips from being a parent to Honor, three, and Haven, seven months, and now wants to share what works for her.

"It's totally crazy but amazing," Jessica said about the tome. "I'm not extreme. This book is for people who are in the middle but want to create a healthier life, like me."

Jessica launched her own business, The Honest Company, recently to help other parents bring up their children in the safest, chemical-free environment that they can.

But the book, which will be released early next year, also has some of the Latin star's beloved family recipes.

"Honor's favourite meatball recipe will be in there," says the star who is married to producer Cash Warren. "And I always hide flax seeds in everything."

Jessica will also share DIY family projects that only use pure and inexpensive materials.

"It will be easy and fun and I want it to be really colourful," the Sin City star shared. "I'm a crazy foodie. I love doing projects with my kids. Everything in this book will be something meaningful that I've incorporated into our lives."

"I wanted some kind of handbook with all the information I was consuming so I could apply it in a practical way."
