John Abraham has been known to mould himself according to his films every single time. He had bulked up his physique for a demanding role in the film "Force" then he toned it down for "Desi Boyz" and now he is all set to tone his muscles even further for his yet another film.

John has been asked to lose almost 20 kilos to personify his character as Manya Surve in the film "Shootout at Lokhandwala". But the look will not be constant throughout the film as he will sport a lean look and then a bulky physique to exemplify the time phase.

“Manya Surve has to look really lean in the first 20 minutes of the film, till he gets into jail and starts working out. So there is an actual physical transformation my character goes through in the film” said John. He confessed that the tiring routine takes a toll on him frequently, “At times I feel like breaking down and crying. People always talk about losing weight but it is a very difficult process. If not supervised properly, it can go really wrong. But by god’s grace I’ve been in safe hands” added John.
