December 29, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The Pirates of the Caribbean star Johny Depp knows well his strength and forte as he says that he loves to play the eccentric characters like Jack Sparrow. His latest release The Tourist alongside Angelina Jolie could not do well at the Box Office and Depp has probably realized that fans love him more in the eccentric roles.

The 47 year old actor says that Captain Jack will always remain close to his heart and he has still kept the eyeliner and bandana used for this character. According to Johny, its very tough to play the character like he had in The Tourist. The actors would rather love to hide behind wigs, hats or make-up because he enjoys doing that.

Depps character Jack Sparrow made him popular across the world among all age group of fans and no other role could attract so much of viewers. The actor knows it well, so he has expressed his desire to work in more eccentric roles.

In 2005, Johny played yet another different and eccentric kind of role in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He played the chocolate companys owner, Willy Wonka, which was much loved by the kids.

We hope the filmmakers are listening to Depp and they soon offer him yet another eccentric historic role!
