Jonah Hill says director Martin Scorsese "photobombed" him at the Oscars.
The actor received a best supporting actor nomination at this year's ceremony for his role in Moneyball. Jonah asked co-star Brad Pitt, nominated for best actor, to take his photograph on the red carpet to record the memorable moment.
But Martin was seen dropping behind Jonah in the photo right before it was taken an act described as photobombing.
"It's really funny Scorsese photobombed it!" Jonah said in an interview with talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
"He's like, Yeah photobomb! It's like, Scorsese get out of my shot, bro! What are you doing?'"
Jonah forgives his favourite director for messing up the photograph. He has laughed off the incident saying Martin looked like the 78-year-old main character in animated movie Up.
Jimmy agreed with the star's observation. "You're right: he looks like Eugene Levy, and the guy from Up," he said before adding he didn't like Jonah's chances of working with the director in future films after mocking him on the talk show. "Well, you won't be working with him now, unfortunately!" Kimmel joked.
Jonah also spoke about taking his mother to the Oscars and says the nomination will open doors for his career. He is currently working on films How to Train Your Dragon 2, The Apocalypse and Good Time Gang.
He stars alongside Channing Tatum in 21 Jump Street which is released in UK cinemas from tomorrow.
