(Cover) - EN Showbiz - A California judge has issued a warrant for the arrest of Lindsay Lohan.
The news of the warrant by Judge Elden Fox was released on the website TMZ today, and follows reports that Lindsay failed two recent drug tests which are mandatory under the terms of her court order.
The actress had been sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab after she was found to have violated the terms of her 2007 conviction for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) earlier this year. She spent 13 days at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California, followed by 23 days in rehab at the UCLA Medical Center.
She is currently being treated as an outpatient, and has to submit to twice-weekly random drugs tests, admitting at the weekend to having failed one of them.
Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result. Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future, she wrote on her Twitter page yesterday.
The 24-year-old actress could be sentenced to 30 days imprisonment for each of the two failed drugs tests. (C) Cover Media
