(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Juliette Lewis was hospitalised on Wednesday evening after being involved in a hit-and-run accident.

The 37-year-old actress was injured following an evening spent promoting her new film Conviction.

Her vehicle collided with another car at an intersection in Burbank, California, at 10:19pm. The driver of the other vehicle failed to stop. The Natural Born Killers star suffered minor injuries.

Juliettes was leaving an event for her new film Conviction last night when the town car driving her home was broadsided by a hit-and-run driver, a representative told Us magazine.

The Sedan Juliette was travelling in was completely totalled. Ms. Lewis went to the hospital to be checked out and is a bit banged up and sore, but otherwise thankfully OK. She is now resting at home.

The offending driver is reported to have fled the scene dumping the vehicle, believed to be a Honda, a few blocks away. (C) Cover Media
