(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Justin Biebers story is an important one because it shows drive is all kids need to succeed, says the director of his new film.

The 16-year-old singer was discovered after he posted clips of himself singing on video sharing website YouTube. He then came to R&B superstar Ushers attention, and global success quickly followed.

The Canadian pop stars story will be told in upcoming 3D movie Never Say Never, which is directed by Jon Chu. He insists Justins is an inspiration tale which will show young people the importance of hard work and having dreams.

Especially for this generation of kids, [it's important to show] that they could make it on their own without a big corporation, he explained. I thought it was an exciting way to tell it: through his music.

Jon admits he didnt know much about Justin when he first got involved with the project. He had been busy finishing production of Step Up 3D, so immediately took to YouTube to do some research. He was impressed with what he saw, and knew the project was something he wanted to be a part of.

Who would say no to doing a Justin Bieber movie in 3D? Paramount Pictures had this movie, they called me up, and I was just finishing up 'Step Up 3D,' and said, 'What do you know about Justin Bieber?' he explained to MTV News. I started at YouTube. So we've watched Justin in the YouTube community grow and break out of that into the mainstream.

Never Say Never includes footage of Justin performing live, and is out in America later this month. (C) Cover Media
