Justin Bieber triumphs at Brits

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Justin Bieber was honoured as the best international breakthrough act at tonights Brit Awards.

The prestigious music awards ceremony takes place annually in the UK, honouring the best of home-grown and international talent.

Tonight British funnyman James Corden presented the ceremony at Londons O2 Arena, with teen pop sensation Justin being thrilled to receive the gong.

The singer was presented the award by fellow Canadian Avril Lavigne, who he hugged as he accepted the prize.

Other Canadians to win tonight included band Arcade Fire, who scooped the gong for best international album for The Suburbs, following on from the album winning the album of the year prize at the recent Grammy Awards. They also won in the best international group category tonight.

R&B star Rihanna scooped the international female award, and was presented the gong by British singer Cheryl Cole who described Rihanna as her girl crush. Rising star Cee-Lo Green was named best international male solo artist, and told British people they have great taste in music as he accepted the prize.

Take That who opened the show were thrilled to receive the best British group award, with Mark Owen thanking his bandmate Robbie Williams for returning to the group.
