(Cover) - EN Showbiz - A woman was officially charged with misdemeanour trespassing yesterday after she was caught on the property of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi last week.
The female intruder, 49-year-old Karen Grace Sjoden, appeared in court after she was arrested last Thursday having been found on the high-security property in Beverly Hills, California, where talk show host DeGeneres and her actress wife de Rossi live.
The woman was discovered by a member of the pairs security team, and never actually made contact with the stars.
Prosecutors are believed to have told the court that when Sjoden was found she allegedly had the names and address of other Hollywood stars, and a letter referencing US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The female pleaded not guilty to the crime, and reportedly told the court: This is a set up.
According to Radaronline.com, Sjoden was found "laying in wait" underneath cushions in the couples kitchen.
Comedian DeGeneres purchased the two-house compound in 2007, and the luxury home is believed to be secured by a state-of-the-art protection system. She and her wife were said to be impressed with the swift action taken by their security team and the authorities. (C) Cover Media
