One of the most iconic films in Bollywood, 'Ram Lakhan' is all set to get a remake.

Karan Johar announced this development by posting the first look on his micro blogging page and wrote, "Rohit Shetty...Dharma Productions and Mukta Arts come together to remake an iconic Blockbuster!!!!".

This is the first time that Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar will come together for a film.

While the original turned out to be a big milestone in the careers of Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff, it remains to be seen which stars bag the lead roles in the remake.

The film is slated to release in 2016.
