It hasn't been long that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali (SLB) and actress Kareena Kapoor went gaga over each other when they expressed their excitement of working together after a long wait. But all the excitement has fizzled out as the duo have parted ways on their ambitious film.
The talked about film is apparently the screen adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet', for which Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor were signed to play the lead.
But regardless of all the anticipation and eagerness to star in Sanjay's film, Kareena chose to walk out.
While it was reported that Kareena's impending wedding with Saif Ali Khan was the main reason behind her decision, Kareena revealed the other side.
"I walked out a week ago. I had allotted 100 days for the shooting in August as per contract but Mr Bhansali wanted more days to shoot. It wasn't possible as I have signed three new big films for next year. The shooting for one of them begins in October immediately after the release of 'Heroine'. I've also given 32 days of promotional time for Heroine as it's a very special film for me. That wouldn't have been possible if I had given those dates to Ram Leela (tentative title of the film)," cleared Kareena.
She added that her personal life will never hinder her career as an actress, "I am extremely ambitious and very career-oriented and my personal life has never come in the way of my career. My not doing this film has nothing to do with my wedding. Such stories about me being replaced because I am getting married are floated by PR machineries on an overdrive!" shrugged Kareena.
