After helming mega projects like 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Padmaavat' ace film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has decided to take a break from the director's seat but this doesn't stop him from making films. After introducing Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in 'Saawariya' SLB is all set to launch two newcomers in Bollywood. This time it is Javed Jaffrey's son Mizan and his sister Bela Sehgal's daughter Sharmin Segal.
Bela Segal is an editor and director and the granddaughter of the veteran filmmaker Mohan Segal who had introduced Rekha in 'Saawan Bhadon'. Bankrolled by Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions, the film titled 'Malaal' is a love story and the shooting began in Mumbai.
The first schedule is wrapped up and it is said that the film may be extensively shot on locations abroad. 'Malaal' is being directed by an award-winning Marathi film director, Mangesh. The rest of the details are not given away by the team.
We would surely miss Bhansali's involvement in the film as the filmmaker has proven his credibility by bagging the prestigious National Film Awards, Filmfare Awards, and a Padma Shri. Though it will be interesting to see fresh talent coming up with this romantic film.
