Just recently there were reports which confirmed that Bollywood's begum Kareena Kapoor Khan has been signed to play the lead in filmmaker Abhishek Chaubey's next.

There was yet another star's name added to the cast as Ayushmann Khurrana was reportedly signed too. Later it was rumoured that Ayushmaan was out of the film as Kareena didn't want to work with a newcomer.

For the longest time there was no statement from Kareena's team over the controversy. However, it was recently confirmed by her team that Kareena had no say in the casting.

The decisions on casting were purely made by the team of the film. Ayushmann however had recently stated that he was not doing the film due to date issues.
