Popular comedian, Karunas is now a happening hero in Kollywood. He is playing the lead role in two big-budget, upcoming films 'Ragalaipuram' and 'Chandamama'.

"Both these films are laughter riots. I know my plus and minus points well, and hence, I will play lead roles in stories that fit my personality. I can never play an action hero or other such 'larger-than-life' roles", he says.

Stating that he would like to work with new directors, Karunas gives his reason for encouraging newbies, "I came from an ordinary background into films and so I always wanted to support others who are talented but don't have any means to make it big".

Karunas plays a police constable in 'Ragalaipuram' and in 'Chandamama', he plays an innocent man who makes it big in life as a 'bestseller' author.
