Kate Bosworth says she is "happily settled" in her love life.

The 29-year-old blonde beauty is content in her relationship with director boyfriend Michael Polish.

After high-profile romances with Orlando Bloom and Alexander Skarsgrd, Kate says she's finally found lasting love.

"I had my single moment in my life," she told E! News. "But I'm happily settled now."

Kate plays an independent, single woman in her new film Life Happens. Her character falls in love when she least expected it which is something that the actress identifies with.

"I think that's what we all search for, that kind of partner in life," she told the site.

Kate and Michael met when he directed her in upcoming movie Big Sur which is a movie adaptation of the Jack Kerouac book.

"I love making that movie," Kate said. "It was quite a feat to tackle. The novel in itself, it's complicated and internal and I think whenever you project that into cinema it's a difficult thing to make something like that. I've seen some of it and it looks so beautiful."
