(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kate Hudson has revealed she wasnt wearing a stitch of make-up while filming for her new movie.

The 31-year-old actress can currently be seen in romantic comedy A Little Bit of Heaven. Kate plays a care-free woman who finds out shes dying of cancer. When she falls in love with her doctor, the threat of falling in love becomes scarier than her survival to beat the deadly illness.

The Hollywood star admitted it was refreshing not to spend hours in hair and make-up for filming. Kate maintained a natural look throughout the movie, even though having a fresh face was daunting at times.

It was nice not to have to wake up and worry about bags! she told the British edition of OK! magazine. There was not a stitch of make-up on my face. Its kind of nice because I dont like being made up.

Kate is renowned for her roles in romantic comedies including How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and You, Me and Dupree. The actress - who won a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Almost Famous insists she took her characters tragic predicament very seriously for her new movie.

The one thing that I found interesting was the process of what kind of treatment she would have had, and what her body frame would have looked like if she went through it, she said. A lot of times people associate sickness with frailty and getting really skinny, and in this situation we had to work with her not being too skinny but actually getting bloated.

The blonde who recently announced she is expecting her first child with partner Matt Bellamy has revealed that because of the tragic content of the film, her appearance became a second priority to her portrayal of the character.

Its funny because in this movie Im hiding sickness, so its not exactly the most flattering film, and Im playing a character and you want to be true to life, she added. (C) Cover Media
