27th March 2012

Katherine Jenkins has named her dancing alter-ego "the Welsh wiggle".

The classical singer topped the leader board on Dancing with the Stars for the second week in a row on Monday night, with the judges calling her jive "wild and wacky".

Katherine and her professional dance partner Mark Ballas have nicknamed the Welsh songstress' sensual side.

"Honestly, I felt like I was in another place. I felt like I was having an out-of-body experience. My body was giving it, but I don't have any idea what it looked like or how I did, but you were happy with it?" she told ET Online, before turning to pro dancer Mark.

"It felt great. It started and then it finished. I just remember looking over at you during the spin, and I was like Damn, OK, OK!'" he added.

"We've decided to call it my alter-ego," Katherine giggled, before Mark shared: "Yeah, so Katherine the classical singer, and Katherine the Welsh wiggle."

The blonde beauty revealed she was feeling the pressure after her impressive first week. Katherine's foxtrot debut on the show was hailed the "best first dance on the first episode ever".

And after scoring 26 out of 30 for her jive this week, the star admitting to feeling the physical strain of rehearsals.

"We were all really tired and achy this week, we were all quiet exhausted," she said.

Meanwhile, Gladys Knight scored at the lower end of the board, with 19 points. The legendary soul singer has not let the lack-lustre points affect her positivity though.

"It's an opinion. That's all it is," she said, referring to Judge Len Goodman's lowest score of five points.

"I cannot learn in five days what [he has] been doing all [his] lifeYou need to judge it fairly and take into consideration all the things that we have to."
