Jennifer Lawrence regrets teenage anxiety

27th March 2012

Jennifer Lawrence wishes she hadn't worried about "the b***hes" when she was younger.

The 21-year-old actress has been thrust into the Hollywood limelight recently thanks to her role as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games.

She has vowed that fame won't change her, insisting she wishes she could go back in time and tell her younger self that what other people think of her is inconsequential.

"Don't worry about the b***hes," she replied, when asked what advice she'd give her 13-year-old self by Look magazine. "When you look back and see how much time you spent trying to get people to like you and trying to dress cool, you realise it doesn't matter."

Jennifer didn't have the easiest time at school.

The star was teased by girls with one even asking her to hand out invitations to a party Jennifer wasn't invited to.

She also felt like she wasn't bright enough, although now she's come to terms with her strengths and weaknesses.

"I remember a lot of time, especially during maths, when everybody got it except me and it made me feel stupid. It wasn't until I left school that I was like, OK, I'm not that stupid,'" she recalled.

"I've always been hugely anxious about getting into trouble."
