It is the age of remakes and filmmakers are milking the trend by presenting Bollywood classics in a modern day contemporary style. So it came as no surprise when we learned about the remake plans of yet another classic blockbuster. But unlike the others seen in the recent times which are more male centric, fans can gear up for a treat as a woman-centric film has been chosen this time.

According to sources, actress Katrina Kaif has been approached to play the lead in the remake of Hema Malini's superhit film 'Seeta Aur Geeta'. Though the news has been doing the rounds in tinsel town for quite some time, it has become more exciting to know that Katrina too is taking a keen interest in the offer.

It gets better, as a source close to the actress, we hear that Katrina is so inclined towards the project that she not only wants to act in the film, but she is also considering the thought of producing it. Ramesh Sippy who directed the original is likely to direct the remake as well.

Katrina playing three roles; Seeta, Geeta and the producer does sound over-ambitious. Let's hope the talented actress pulls it off in style.
