While there's no doubt that Katrina Kaif who is a consistent lucky mascot at the box office, has also been the front runner on the popularity charts, beating her contemporaries for two consecutive years.

Having emerged as the most powerful celebrity endorser earlier this year, in a celebrity-brand association recall study conducted by Ormax Media and also ranked the Most Favorite Film Star – Female in the Small Wonders report  by the consumer knowledge and consulting firm, Katrina Kaif who added another feather to her hat, made her way to the top 10 female 'Stars India Loves' (SIL) that was carried out by an independent monthly survey conducted by Ormax.

Confirms Shailesh Kapoor, CEO – Ormax Media, a specialist media research firm, "In our star popularity survey called 'Stars India Loves', Katrina Kaif has been chosen by cine goers as the most popular heroine in India, month after month for the last two years. Katrina has never been paired with Shah Rukh Khan before, and this makes her forthcoming film Jab Tak Hai Jaan even more exciting for the audience. The film's campaign has been breaking records on our tracking tool called Cinematix, and one of the appealing drivers for the film is its fresh lead pairing."

SIL is a monthly track conducted by Ormax Media, to track the most favorite Bollywood male and female stars. This is done among 3250 cine-goers, across 16 cities in India.

What's even more impressive, is that Katrina Kaif remains the only actor to top the survey across all the 16 cities of India, beating the likes of her male contemporaries too.

Says a trade source, "Katrina Kaif is one of the few actresses who are honored with solo posters despite starring an A-list actor...that speaks volumes for her popularity…Apart from that her success ratio is among the highest in Bollywood."
