(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katy Perry is "not reacting in a destructive way" following her marriage breakdown from Russell Brand, it has been claimed.

The former couple are in the process of getting divorced after Russell announced the end of their relationship in December.

Katy's friend and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton says the star is keeping a level-head following the break-up, despite reports emerging that her former husband has already moved on from the split and is dating other women.

"Katy's pretty upset. It makes her question their whole relationship knowing he can move on with other women so quickly. But she's not reacting in a destructive way by going out all night partying she's just focusing on her work," Perez told Closer magazine.

Perez also addressed rumours that Rihanna is reuniting with her ex Chris Brown. The Bajan beauty was assaulted by her then beau before the Grammys three years ago, with the rapper subsequently charged with felony battery.

"I think Chris should be given the opportunity to move away from his past, but I would be worried if Rihanna got back together with him because it was a destructive and abusive relationship," he said.

"She's a strong girl and is responsible for her own actions. She's released all her hatred towards him and forgiven him, but I don't think it's psychologically healthy for her to get back with him." (C) Cover Media
