(Cover) - EN Star Style - Katy Perry says it took her ten minutes to remove all the make-up she donned for the E.T. music promo.

The stunning star is excited about todays unveiling of the futuristic promo, and has spoken a great deal about how thrilled she is with the stylised clip and modern concept.

The star sports a series of dramatic looks in the video for the song which features rapper Kanye West and comes from her hugely successful album Teenage Dream.

"It was, like, five and six hours, each make-up look," the songstress told MTV, before laughing that removing all the cosmetics took "like, ten minutes".

Katy has compared the promo to a piece of cinema and admits she felt like she was starring in a movie. The energetic star did find sitting around being preened and pampered rather tiresome though.

"It was hard for me! It was really a patience thing for me on this video," she added.

"But, you know, it's like when you're doing a film. Sometimes you have to do prosthetics, and you have to get really old or turn into an animal or a monster and that's kind of what this process was." (C) Cover Media
