Katy Perry is apparently a "lost soul" following her divorce from ex-husband Russell Brand.

The 27-year-old singer has a song out called Part Of Me about a tough break up. Although she wrote it two years ago, it was apt in its release.

Us Weekly claims that Katy bitterly regrets her split with the British actor and wants to reconcile.

"Katy's been trying to get him back!" a source close to the singer said. "She's a lost soul right now."

The Firework starlet apparently had second thoughts about her divorce during a recent solo trip to India, where she tied the knot with Russell in 2010.

"She'd already been missing Russell," the insider shared. "Being back there stirred up even more old feelings."

Russell seems to have already moved on and has been seen with several women since the end of the high-profile relationship. Katy reportedly had a short fling with French model Baptiste Giabiconi.

"Right now, Katy and Russell are trying to get to the point where they can at least be friends," the pal added.
