Abhishek Kapoor directorial film 'Kedarnath' featuring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles was earlier slated to release on December 21 clashing with Aanand L Rai's Zero. With the legal dispute between the director and producer KriArj Entertainment due to some creative factors forming the difference of opinion KriArj parted ways from the film completely. Following this Ronnie Screwvala and Abhishek Kapoor who produced the 2013 critically acclaimed film 'Kai Po Che' is back again. The film is now officially pre-poned with a new release date of November 30. So this would surely be Sara Ali Khan's debut film as well.
The film is a feeling-full love story set in the backdrop of Uttarakhand hit by devastating floods that wrecked the temple town in June 2013. The plot is a blend of love and religion, passion, and spirituality. The floods that took the lives of over a hundred thousand people is a powerful backdrop for this epic love story.
Abhishek shared the film's poster with the new release date and tweeted, ''We clean up pretty nice. 30th nov it is. #savethedate everyone #jaibholenath 🙏🙏#rsvp @RonnieScrewvala @pragyadav_ @gitspictures #kedarnath #kedarnaththemovie @itsSSR #saraalikhan.''
Bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP productions and Abhishek Kapoor's Guy In the Sky Pictures, 'Kedarnath' is slated to release on November 30, 2018.
