(Cover) - EN Star Style - Keira Knightley wore a Burberry coat every day for a year as she wanted to get her moneys worth.

The actress is interested in fashion, but it doesnt consume her. She finds it hard to splash out on lavish designer items as it seems wrong to spend so much on just one garment, and spent months convincing herself she should buy a sheepskin Burberry coat that she fell in love with.

My mum was like, You cannot spend that amount of money on a coat, and I was like, No youre right, I cant, I cant. And then literally it was months, months, of thinking, Im not going to do it, Im not going to do it. But then she said, Right, if youre going to buy it, you have to wear it all the time. So I wore it every day last year and Im going to wear it every day this year, she laughed to the March edition of British magazine Elle.

The 25-year-old likes getting glammed up for red-carpet events, but in her own time she prefers to be comfortable. She is often seen out and about in jeans and plain tops, explaining that she just thinks about durability when she gets dressed.

Im just not very good at thinking about what to wear first thing in the morning, she explained. I just think, Its cold, I want a jumper on. I have a couple of friends who work in fashion so every now and then they try to get me to pull myself together and be proper. (C) Cover Media
