(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kelly Rowland cried so much while recording a song her vocal chords became swollen.
The former Destinys Child singer is very proud of her latest self-titled album and drew heavily on personal experiences when she was working on it. Kelly was reduced to tears while she was laying down vocal for one of the songs, Rose-Colored Glasses, and admits the emotion she put into the track took its toll on her voice.
The song is about relationships; the good, the bad and the ugly, she explained. It brought back a few memories, and when I recorded it I cried so much my vocal chords got swollen.
Kelly, 29, prides herself on being a positive person and always looks forward to spending Christmas with her loved ones. However, she knows there are many people out there who can feel pessimistic and gloomy about life. She believes listening to a track called Haters on her new album is guaranteed to boost spirits.
Its for all the miserable people out there, Kelly said. To tell them not to make the rest of us feel miserable and to cheer up! (C) Cover Media
