(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kiefer Sutherland went 45 minutes out of his way to ensure a drunk man got home safely.

The Hollywood star is often see out and about sipping alcoholic beverages, and was recently photographed shirtless after enjoying a particularly rambunctious night out in the UK.

He spent time in jail in 2007 after pleading no contest to Driving Under the Influence (DUI), and after his release vowed never to go back inside. Kiefer now has a full-time chauffeur to ferry him around, to ensure he stays out of trouble.

After a recent evening spent at a Hollywood bar, Kiefer noticed another man who seemed the worse for wear. The gent appeared to be considering driving himself home, prompting Kiefer to step in.

Kiefer walked over and talked to the guy for about 15 minutes finally persuading him to accept a life home, reports National Enquirer. After driving nearly 45 minutes out of his way, Kiefer and the driver helped the man to the door.

The unknown guys wife was waiting for him, and failed to recognise Kiefer was famous. She apparently shouted at him for letting her husband get into such a mess, mistakenly thinking he was just one of his pals. (C) Cover Media
