(Cover) - EN Movies - Kiefer Sutherland and Kate Bosworth will star as a couple in a new movie.

The two stars have won parts in upcoming release Fairytale of New York, which is being directed by Lee Cleary.

The film is about a troubled Irish comedian who travels to New York, where he meets an American woman he immediately feels close to. Its being produced by Lisa Katselas and Dan Reardon, with Lisa thrilled to have Kiefer and Kate on board.

Fairytale of New York lets us observe what most of us hope for in a relationship and then takes us further," she explained to Variety. "To achieve this, we needed to find actors with a magical connection - and we have in Kiefer and Kate."

The movie is due to be shot in Northern Ireland and New York, and is currently being shopped at the Cannes International Film Festival.

The script has been penned by Jeff Murphy, and the release date hasnt been confirmed yet.

Kiefer is currently treading the boards in Broadway in That Championship Season, while Kates movie Straw Dogs is out in America later this year. (C) Cover Media
