Kim Kardashian guilted' Kris Humphries into appearing on her reality shows, it is reported.
The basketball player apparently did not want to be on the television series but was made to feel bad if he didn't do it.
RadarOnline claims that Kris did not want to participate and would have preferred to have stayed off-camera but Kim used her ex-boyfriend in a ploy to make the athlete comply.
"Kris is a relatively private person and he just didn't want to be on camera and part of a reality show," a source told the site.
"In the beginning of the relationship, Kim implored Kris to just appear on camera briefly. Kim played the Reggie Bush card.
"Reggie loathed the cameras and the reality show, and it was a big source of strain for them while they were dating.
"Reggie only appeared on Keeping up With The Kardashians a handful of times. Kim was always pestering Reggie to be on the show but he always held his ground. Kim guilted Kris into initially appearing on the show."
The 31-year-old starlet has editorial approval on what appears on her shows and it has been claimed that she is going to do all she can to present herself "as the victim" in her marriage breakdown and paint Kris as "the bad guy."
On last night's season opener of Kourtney & Kim Take New York, viewers got an insight into the bubbling marriage issues that the couple were facing before Kim ended the marriage on Halloween after just 72 days.
In the show Kris was seen mocking Kim's weight saying she ate too much wedding cake and the 6' 9" star farted close to Kourtney's face.
Kris was also seen getting upset when he arrived home to find Kim doing yoga with a naked instructor present.
"Kim was stunned by the amount of bad press and the public relations nightmare she has endured since deciding to file for divorce," the insider added. "Kim will be using the show to attempt to rehab her image."
"Kim has been telling her inner circle that she has worked very hard to get where she has, and she isn't going to let her marriage and subsequent decision to divorce Kris Humphries to ruin that."
Despite the controversy surrounding the union, season two brought in great ratings for its premiere last night and is estimated that it was up nearly 25% from their season one premiere.
