(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian is planning to take her fianc Kris Humphries' name when they get married.

The reality TV star recently announced her engagement to the basketball player and is currently planning the nuptials. Despite having one of the most famous names in the entertainment industry, the beauty is determined to follow the bridal tradition by changing her name to Kim Humphries when she walks down the aisle.

"The most famous Kardashian of them all will for sure take NBA star Kris Humphries' last name when the couple ties the knot this summer," reports TMZ.

Her decision may not go down well with her mother Kris Jenner. She recently urged Kim to keep the Kardashian surname for the sake of her career.

"I don't think she should take his name and be Kim Humphries," Kris told PopEater. "I think she needs to be Kim Kardashian because she's worked so hard to get where she is."

Meanwhile, Kim has revealed her family didn't believe she had got engaged when she showed them her stunning 20.5 carat diamond ring. While Kim's younger sister Kylie was convinced the proposal was for real, her sister Khlo insisted the star was playing a prank.

"I walked in and stroked my hair, flashing the ring," Kim laughed in an interview with the American edition of OK! magazine. "After three minutes of arguing, everyone finally started jumping."

Kim has made no secret of her desire to settle down and start a family. It has now been reported the 30-year-old is keen to have kids as soon as she gets married.

"Kim always thought she'd have at least one or two kids by now, so she's absolutely in a hurry," a source added to OK! "And Kris loves kids and doesn't see any reason to wait. Her friends are even taking bets on whether it will be a boy or a girl." (C) Cover Media
