Zo Kravitz: I'm no It Girl

1st June 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Zo Kravitz has blasted suggestions she is an It Girl.

Zo, daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, hates the label that has been given to her by many. Instead, she is proud of her fledgling acting career - insisting she has made the right decisions so far.

"All that It Girl sh*t makes me kind of uncomfortable," she told ASOS magazine. "I'm only at the beginning of my career, but I feel successful in that I haven't sold out in any way, shape or form. I feel good about the choices I've made, and I don't feel like I've let go of any of my values. Fame has become this obsession for people, which kind of creeps me out."

Despite her famous parents, and having a host of celebrity friends like superstar rapper Jay-Z, Zo is adamant that she hasn't courted fame. She insists being a celebrity doesn't interest her, instead she just wants a career which makes her happy.

"I'm in a very lucky position, because I've been around [fame] for so long, I don't feel like I have to chase it," she added.

Zo is currently starring in the critically acclaimed superhero prequel X-Men: First Class alongside James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, which is released this month. (C) Cover Media
