(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian will reportedly pay husband Kris Humphries to keep her engagement ring.

The reality TV beauty filed for divorce from the sports star after just 72 days of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

Basketball star Kris proposed to Kim with a $2 million, 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring back in May, although Kim's mother Kris Jenner recently claimed in a TV interview that the piece of jewellery was worth "less than half that".

Sources close to the former couple have told US website TMZ that Kim is considering buying the ring from Kris because she is so fond of it.

"Kim loved the ring so much, she included a clause in the pre-nup which allows her buy the ring from Kris for the original purchase price in the case of a divorce," the insider revealed, before adding that Kim still "loves the ring and will pay Kris so she can keep it."

Kris Jenner recently said that Kim should not have to return her engagement ring, after reports claimed that her estranged husband wanted the piece of jewellery back.

"I hate an Indian giver. It's a gift, you know," the 56-year-old TV personality previously said. (C) Cover Media
