(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian's new husband went into a panic after losing his wedding ring at an airport.

Basketball star Kris Humphries was at Minneapolis' St. Paul Airport on Friday when he realised his gold and black diamond band was missing.

He had been asked to remove the Lorraine Schwartz designed ring as he was going through a security check and metal detector. According to TMZ, Kris failed to notice he had dropped it.

Luckily, a man behind him called Omar Ahmad realised what had happened and alerted Kris.

"Kris must have had to take off all his jewellery or it slipped off his finger because he was freaking out and frantically looking for it yelling, 'Where's my ring?!'" Ahmad is quoted as saying by RadarOnline.

"He was crawling on his knees looking for it underneath the x-ray machine. No one was helping him and very few actually recognised him except for me. So I stepped in to help.

"I told him, I'm going to help you find this so you don't have to deal with this tonight.'"

Ahmad claims he helped Kris search the area for ten minutes before he located the ring on the floor. Kris was clearly relieved when he was reunited with the expensive band and happily posed for a photograph with Ahmad.

"Kris was just so thankful I helped him and didn't just leave him. It's funny, I was really the only one who knew who he was," he added.

Kim and Kris tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony in California on August 20.

Their nuptials were the subject of a reality television show, which was broadcast on E! in the US over the weekend.

However, the newlyweds decided not to stay in and watch the wedding special. Instead, they showed their support for actress friend La La Anthony, who is currently starring in Love, Loss and What I Wore on Broadway. According to New York Post, Kim and Kris "cuddled the entire show" and laughed during references to Vera Wang wedding dresses. (C) Cover Media
