14th June 2015

Kirron Kher turns a year older today and touches the league of 60. Kirron is a versatile actress and a loving wife of veteran actor, Anupam Kher.

She made her film debut in 1983 in a Punjabi feature film 'Aasra Pyar Da'. On her birthday we take a look at her motherly roles on celluloind with different shades.

Her commercial list of films such as 'Dostana', 'Khoobsurat', 'Rang De Basanti' where she played loud Punjabi mother while in 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Singh is Kinng', she sketched dramatic mother's role.

She also evoked tragedy with the cult films like 'Main Hoon Na' and 'Devdas', for which she received best supporting actress award in IIFA.

'Veer-Zaara' and 'Hum Tum' featured her as soft spoken mother while in 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna', Kirron portrayed a modern mother.

Kirron is a double time national film award winner for her roles in the film, 'Sardari Begum' and 'Bariwali'. With varied colors of roles in her career palette, Kirron lives on the lips of audiences and seems best fit in guardian angels characters.

We wish the veteran actress a very happy birthday!
